Round tiller "saddle" adapter beneath tiller extension universal joint

Issue: The Weta has the flat surface of the Ronstan Universal joint (RF133) attached directly to the round surface of the tiller extension.

This puts strain on the retaining screws used to attach the Universal Joint to the tiller, leading to metal fatigue and failure of the screws where they meet the carbon – possibly also aided by galvanic corrosion between the carbon and steel as water tends to get trapped under the screw cover.

Solution: Ronstan supply a “saddle” adapter for round tiller extensions (RF3133) which is designed to fit between the joint and the tiller and spread the load over the surface of the tiller. Cost $7.50 retail.
